Space Chase

Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge 2019

What’s it all about?

Travel across the galaxy on a very special reading mission. The theme this year is Space Chase – inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. Help our super space family, The Rockets, as they track down books nabbed by mischievous aliens, and collect special stickers for a colourful collector’s folder.

Taking part is simple – from Saturday 13th July to the 7th September you can sign up for free at your local library.

Read 6 books (or more!) over the summer holidays to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, as well as a host of fun free activities and events.

Anyone aged 4-11 can take part. If you’re not already a library member, joining is easy and free, just ask your parent or carer to bring you along. If they are not already a library member please ask them to bring some proof of name and address with them.

Libraries are also holding events and activities throughout the summer holidays to help children complete the Challenge. Visit your local library or find out more about our events here.
